POSITION SUMMARY: 1. As part of the Housekeeping team,the Assistant Housekeeping Manager is proactively anticipatingevery guests needs and expectations. 2. Assistant HousekeepingManager must possess outstanding hospitality, communication andorganizational skills in addition to effective decision-makingabilities. 3. Paying keen attention to detail, he/she is held fullyaccountable for the quality of their guests experience inStaterooms and public areas. 4. This individual will take fullownership and accountability for the maintenance as well as thelook and feel of his/her assigned area, that being assignedStateroom or public spaces and will also ensure the flawlessservice in all Guest Areas. 5. Furthermore, Assistant HousekeepingManager is responsible for the operational management of allHousekeeping functions for top suites/lofts, assigned decks anddaily operational aspects and the cleaning activities ofpublic/crew areas including the pool deck. 6. This positionprovides direct support to the Housekeeping Manager in ensuring thedivisions objectives are met and the day-to-day operations in bothHousekeeping and Laundry are maintained to standard. 7. He/shedemonstrates excellent training, leadership development andrecognition skills with both supervisors and crew members, andalways maintains a strong floor presence, ensuring team membersdeliver exceptional customer service to guests through flawless andconsistent execution of their responsibilities. 8. This consists of physical andverbal interactions with guests or fellow Employees and/or in thepresence of guest and employee. Qualifications: External Candidate1. Minimum one-year Housekeeping Managerial experience in a large4- or 5-star hotel (500+ rooms), cruise line or hospitalityindustry related field required, with demonstrated experiencesupervising team of minimum of 10 employees. 2. Combination ofeducation equivalent to high school diploma or any other source ofeducation, training or experience that provides the requiredknowledge, skills and abilities. 3. Extensive knowledge of propercleaning techniques, chemical handling and safety relatedprocedures, requirements and use of equipment, personal protectiveequipment and job safety analysis related to proper handlingchemicals, lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy equipment, garbageremoval. 4. Ability to effectively deal with internal and externalguests, some of whom will require high levels of discretion,patience, tact, and diplomacy. 5. Flexibility to manage, direct andencourage a positive, dynamic, diverse Housekeeping Supervisor teamby navigating through a changing work environment. 6. Should beable to utilize and administer the progressive disciplinary actionprocess through coaching and counseling to improve performancewhere possible. 7. Ability to work positively and cooperatively ina diverse team environment to meet overall established time framesfor the Housekeeping division operation. 8. Working knowledge ofcomputers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within avariety of software packages such as Excel, Word, or relatedCompany programs (SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, Kronos etc.)9. Completion of high school or equivalent required. 10.Demonstrates strong results oriented management style with provensuccesses. 11. Must focus on operational goals where training,leadership development and recognizing overall team performance isparamount. 12. Specific knowledge of principles and processes forproviding exceptional customer and personal service including needsassessment, problem resolution, demonstrated strong attention todetail and achievement of quality service standards. 13. Must beable to utilize and administer the progressive disciplinary actionprocess through coaching and counseling to improve performancewhere possible. 14.
