As such, teamwork, creativity, reliability and integrity are components of a work ethic taken very seriously since the company was founded in 1959.Tradition is currently seeking to appoint an IT Disaster Recovery Manager to be based within the Madrid office.With an evolving regulatory environment and an ambitious resilience agenda, Tradition is seeking a proactive, adaptable professional to join the IT Service Management team and drive the next stage of our Disaster Recovery (DR) capability.Main responsibilities within the IT Disaster Recovery Manager position include:Build and mature the EMEA IT DR capabilityin line with Traditions Operational Resilience framework, establishing fit-for-purpose governance, reporting, metrics and tooling.Integrate DR with Business Continuity Planning (BCP)so that recovery plans, impact tolerances and playbooks are fully integrated, ensuring uninterrupted delivery of critical services.Ensure regulatory compliance(e.G. DORA, MiFID, CFTC) by continually assessing gaps, updating controls and providing clear evidence for auditors and regulators.Lead improvement and test programmes scoping, planning and delivering DR projects and live or table-top exercises that validate recovery capabilities.Own DR communications and training, equipping colleagues at every level with the knowledge and confidence to act decisively during disruptions.Scope of accountabilityYou will lead the development of the IT DR frameworkleveraging proven components from across the Tradition Groupand be expected to deliver results across the following work streams:Planning DocumentationProduce complete, version-controlled DR plans aligned to impact tolerances.Governance, Audit ComplianceEstablish policies, controls, dashboards and evidence packs that satisfy internal governance bodies as well as external auditors and regulators.Requirements Risk ManagementMaintain a living set of DR and BCP requirements aligned with business needs and regulatory obligations; manage the associated risk register and remediation pipeline.Testing ValidationPublish and execute an annual calendar of DR/BCP exercisesranging from table-top simulations to live failoversand embed lessons learned into future cycles.Service ImprovementChampion initiatives that shorten RTO/RPO, reduce risk, enhance observability and continuously raise the overall maturity of Traditions resilience posture.Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:Hands-on experience with the ITIL Governance framework as well as standard Project and Requirements Management practices.Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift with business demands; an iterative, best-next-step mindset is essential.Credibility to engage senior business leaders, CIO/CTOs, the Head of ITSM, Head of Operational Resilience and technical SMEs, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable resilience outcomes.Strong knowledge of modern disaster-recovery practices, tooling, risk assessment and BIA techniques.Proven track record delivering projects in fast-moving tech environments, using mainstream PM and Office tools.Experience and knowledge of capital OTC markets, electronic and voice trading and market data technologies is desirableBroad technical fluencynetworks, servers, storage, databases, voice/commsenabling seamless work with SMEs.Hands-on IT disaster-recovery / resilience experience.Strong analytical skillsPersuasive communicator who can steer cross-functional teams and vendors without formal line authority.Experience of directing resources who dont directly report to themSound grasp of global DR/BCP issues and specifically DORA, MiFID and CFTC regulatory requirements.Tradition do not accept agency CVs.
