More information about this all can be found here: Action Sustainability Due to the companys expansion, Action is recruiting a Legal Counsel dedicated to the Supply Chain organization to strengthen the team at their international HQ. The Position As Legal Counsel Supply Chain you will be supporting the Supply Chain organization on a wide variety of supply chain related matters and play an important role in the rapid expansion of Actions distribution and logistics network in Europe. Together with another colleague, your responsibilities will, inter alia , include: supporting the expansion team responsible for the realisation of new distribution centres (development and lease agreements) and other logistic facilities across Europe acting as key legal business partner on a wide variety of other supply chain related projects and domains, such as inbound logistics (e.g., sea freight) and outbound logistics (e.g., logistic services providers and transport) drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts for supply chain related goods and services, such as maintenance and installation agreements participating in multi-disciplinary project groups on supply chain related initiatives developing and implementing ways to improve the legal quality and efficiency of supply chain related processes and contracts handling supply chain related issues, claims and disputes ensuring the correct implementation of new laws and regulations and creating legal awareness where necessary monitoring and controlling the supply chain related outside counsel spend This role offers variety, challenge, and responsibility in a dynamic international environment. You will join a team of currently seven lawyers at Actions international headquarters. Each lawyer has their own focus area, and together, you support all activities of the Action group. The team is pragmatic, deeply involved in the business, and quick to make decisions, contributing to Actions rapid international expansion. In this role you will be directly reporting to the Head of Legal. You will work closely with the various domains within the supply chain organization at both a central and local country level, and with local outside counsel where necessary. The position can also involve travelling to the countries Action is currently present or will be expanding to. The Profile For this role, we are seeking a dynamic, pragmatic, and decisive lawyer with a strong personality and a sharp business acumen. A hands-on and communicative lawyer, able to build good working relationships in different cultural environments and to provide clear guidance to the business. What you bring to the table: A master degree in law (LLM or equivalent)5 to 8 years of relevant experience in an international business environment Experience with commercial contracting in an international setting is essential Experience with logistics and/or supply chain is a strong plus, and experience with property development and lease agreements is also a plus Exceptional verbal and written skills in English, and preferably in one or more other European languages; command of the Dutch language is a plus.
