ROLE Deploy is Akur8s rating engine, the finalstep in our end-to-end vision, where all steps of pricing - fromdata analysis, to modeling, to ratemaking - are streamlined intoone modern, powerful and efficient software. As a new product underactive development, there are numerous opportunities andchallenges, providing a bridge between two key functions ininsurance. Whilst on the actuarial side it focuses on extractinginsights from data and making statistical decisions for thebusiness; on the IT side it concentrates on maintaining andproducing reliable systems. In insurance, the different skillsetsand perspectives required for these two sides are currently aresolved via inefficient processes and handoffs, which Deploy aims tosolve in order to provide synergy and alignment so as to increasetime-to-market. Solving these challenges requires a deepunderstanding of both IT and Actuaries objectives, how they areorganized, and mapping the complex ecosystem that is behind aninsurance product and its pricing. Akur8 is looking for a PricingEngine Product Manager motivated by problem solving, capable ofdeep diving on details, and who shows innovative approaches tofinding intuitive solutions to seemingly complex problems. We''relooking for a profile who is highly focused on product definition,problem solving and design skillset, rather than solely a personwhose main responsibility is to align priorities across thestakeholders. The Pricing Engine Product Manager position is across-functional role, providing a wide range of interactions withvarious internal teams such as Product Design & Engineering, aswell as Sales & Marketing. Being a Product Manager in ourorganisation requires acquiring knowledge of how the differentparts of our platform interact, and then abstracting customerproblems in a framework so as to find clean solutions withsolutions to complex challenges. Main responsibilities: -Constantly acquiring a deep understanding of actuarial ratemaking,and IT deployment challenges (product models, Policy Admin Systemdesign) - Leading user interviews to deeply understand end userchallenges and objectives - Defining frameworks and solutions tosolve user challenges by prioritizing what matters and what doesnt- Collaborate with Engineers to codesign and scope the features forinternal development squads - Animating training sessions forclients, prospects and colleagues PROFILE For this key role withinour Product Management team were keen to speak to applicants thatmeet the following criteria. You have: - A Masters degree or PhD ina quantitative discipline - 3+ years experience in Insuranceindustry, with interactions with either pricing actuarial teams orIT (pricing or policy admin systems) - 3+ years experience in aquantitative position, such as Data Scientist, Engineering orProduct Manager. - A sound understanding of machine learningconcepts, models, and algorithms - Excellent quantitative &analytical skills - Very strong problem solving skills with a focuson providing and creating robust solutions - Ability to providedetailed, focused and deep product requirements and systemreactions - Team leadership or management experience - Effectivecommunication skills (to exchange with both technical &non-technical stakeholders / clients). - A collaborative mindset(capability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment) -Fluent E
