This position will provide direct services to clients staying in the North Coastal area. Services will include: intake, case management, and client advocacy (resources & referrals) to homeless and low-income individuals, with the goal of moving clients from crisis to self-sufficiency and to support the mission of Interfaith Community Services (ICS).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvides direct services to clients including assessment, crisis intervention, advocacy, and case management Provides guidance and support to help clients identify their own strengths, set achievable goals and follow through consistently so they can become self-sufficient Administers supportive services per agency and contract guidelines Identifies resources and advocates for clients? needs Links and networks clients with resources within the agency and utilizes other public and private social service agencies as necessary Works independently and professionally with partnering agencies, faith centers and other community settings Works with and collaborates with volunteers, interns and other agency personnel Provides services in the community; working with clients in various settings, which include but are not limited to, other agency programs and school administrations Responsible for meeting specific outcomes per month required by program contracts Performs additional duties as assignedEDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCEBachelor?s Degree in social work or related field with at least one (1) year of experience in social services or nonprofit setting. Master''s Degree preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSMust have reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid California driver?s license including proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage and insurability under the Company?s insurance carrier standards.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS- Must successfully pass a criminal background and exclusion/disbarment check, as well as successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination, tuberculosis test, and drug screen.
