The Assurance Financial Services department provides auditing and consulting services for national and international financial service providers. Our Financial Services Organization EMEIA is the only one among the Big4 firms with functional and cross-country specialization in the financial services sector.
We are looking for you as a Senior Auditor (with regulatory focus) in Zurich starting summer 2025 (or by agreement).
The Opportunity
From day one, you will work in a team with other colleagues and be in direct contact with our clients. As a team lead, you will coach junior colleagues while also developing your technical know-how and soft skills. As a Senior Auditor at EY, you can expand your regulatory knowledge in the area of banking and asset management, gain deeper insights into the Swiss and international financial system, and establish interesting relationships at the highest levels.
Your Main Responsibilities
- You conduct regulatory audits at banks and other financial intermediaries as the ''extended arm'' of FINMA.
- You assess compliance with regulatory requirements, for example in the area of anti-money laundering regulations or conduct rules.
- You participate in process audits and reporting, acquiring in-depth knowledge in the respective audited areas (e.g., opening customer relationships, anti-money laundering regulations, risk disclosure in investment business, investment advisory process, and portfolio management of banks, design of an internal control system, compliance function, cross-border activities, etc.).
- You apply your acquired knowledge and experience to support consulting projects outside of audits.
- You can participate in the audit of annual and consolidated financial statements of financial service providers.
- You have the opportunity for further education through participation in various trainings on topics of auditing (Dipl. Wirtschaftsprfer/in), regulatory law, and the financial market.
- You are one of the central contacts for clients and continuously deepen client relationships.
- You work in a multidisciplinary team and support the technical leadership of your team members. Through your on-the-job coaching, you contribute significantly to the training of your team members.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in economics, business law, business informatics, law, or in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
- You are curious and interested in working in auditing, with a regulatory focus in banking and asset management.
- You bring professional experience in Audit Financial Services (preferably with experience in regulatory auditing of banks and other financial intermediaries) or have experience at a bank (ideally in compliance).
- You possess a high level of discipline and perseverance to continuously educate yourself (e.g., to become a Dipl. Wirtschaftsprfer/in, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or other external training opportunities).
- Integrity, respect, and teamwork are among your central guiding motives and values.
- The commitment to our clients across Switzerland (German-speaking Switzerland) requires flexibility and an independent working style.
- You have a quick grasp and easily recognize connections.
- You enjoy interacting with others whether directly with our clients or your future team colleagues.

- You feel comfortable in an international environment and have very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
