Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed and accuratecost estimates for commercial scale solar PV projects - Analyzeproject specifications, technical drawings, and site conditions todetermine material, labor, and equipment requirements - Developcomprehensive bill of quantities (BOQ) for solar PV installations -Review and interpret technical specifications, engineeringdrawings, and project requirements - Perform preliminary systemdesigns to support accurate estimation - Identify potentialtechnical challenges and propose cost-effective solutions - Ensureall estimates comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) standardsand local regulations - Work closely with engineering, procurement,and project management teams - Maintain a database of historicalcost data and estimation metrics - Analyze completed projects tocompare estimated versus actual costs - Identify opportunities forcost optimization and process improvement - Participate in valueengineering exercises to optimize project costs - Support contractnegotiations with suppliers and subcontractors RequiredQualifications - Bachelor''s degree in Engineering (Electrical,Mechanical, Civil, or Renewable Energy) - Minimum of 3-5 years ofengineering experience, preferably in solar PV or related field -Demonstrated experience in cost estimation, project planning, orrelated functions - Knowledge of solar PV systems, components, andinstallation methods - Understanding of electrical systems andNational Electrical Code (NEC) requirements - Proficiency inreading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications -Experience with estimation software and tools - Working knowledgeof CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) - Familiarity with solardesign software (PVsyst, HelioScope, or similar) - Stronganalytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations -Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy -Outstanding written and verbal communication skills - Ability towork independently and as part of a cross-functional team -Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel fordetailed cost analysis
