The HPT delivers on critical projects revolving around:Way-of-working and project deliveryDigital transformation (TOS, gate, etc.)Operational & organizational improvementThe HPT is the right hand of the CEO, ensuring complex and cross-functional goals are met. The HPT identifies the transformation roadmap with the Project Director Expansion and the HIG COO. The CEO and the HPT agree on the rollout of this roadmap in line with business goals, resources, and timelines.The HPT leads a small Terminal Development team, supported by ad hoc resources. The role involves guiding and supporting senior management and project managers to deliver successfully, with oversight of all transformation and development projects within the entity.What you can expectEnsure the delivery of the Transformation RoadmapTranslate high-level business goals into actionable tasks and projectsLead your team, guide senior management, and support the CEORegularly follow-up and report on the status of critical projectsProvide oversight on project management and contentLiaise internally with senior management and the Expansion team, and externally with public stakeholdersAdjust projects to changing business environmentsComply with all safety and security rules and regulations, leading by exampleSupport the department and business units as requiredFollow the corporate authority matrix, contract policies, and compliance guidelinesActively identify opportunities for improvementWhat you bring to the tableWere looking for a leader with broad skills who can inspire engagement and ensure deliverables are met, while also diving into content. This role synthesizes the vision of the Business Unit, Expansion, and HQ into a single actionable Transformation Roadmap.Proficiency in English (Italian and German are a plus)10+ years of experience leading various fields (e.g., operations, technical, IT)5+ years of experience in infrastructure, technology, and people industriesExperience leading projects (>1 million EUR, over 1 year, with multiple internal/external stakeholders)Excellent communication and problem-solving skillsComfortable in both boardroom and technical environmentsProcess and logic-driven mentality, with strong safety leadershipPort/terminal experience is a plusThe ideal candidate has a valid EU work permit and is willing to relocate to Trieste on short notice.HHLA PLT Italy is part of the HHLA Group, with over 6,400 employees worldwide.
