S **chedule Information**: Monday Thursday, 10:30am-4:30pm; Friday, 9am-4:30pm**Hours Per Week**: 29**Benefits**: Prorated Sick & Vacation; Holiday Pay; 2 Harper Tuition Waivers per semester.**Work Conditions**: Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature**Duties and Responsibilities**:Greets visitors, answers phones, takes and distributes messages and provides information and assistance as appropriate.Schedules appointments for the Dean/Assistant Provost and Director of Advising & Counseling Operations.Types correspondence, memos, reports and other materials as needed.Assists with filing.Makes copies, sends faxes and delivers mail.Orders and maintains office and other divisional supplies.Processes printing projects.Assists with gathering and creating college, divisional and departmental reports on student retention and success. Runs ad hoc queries and reports using SARS, Banner (SIS) and Cognos. Tabulates data. Prepares charts and graphs.Maintains Student Development student portal information on internal (employee/staff) website.Assists with special projects and programs. Creates flyers; maintains invitation lists and responses; coordinates room scheduling, audio/visual and catering; collates informational packets, etc.Performs other duties as assigned.**Educational Requirements**:High school graduate or equivalent with specialized training in office practices and procedures. Minimum typing of 50 wpm.**Experience Requirements**:Two years general office experience. Experience in a college office helpful. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities. Strong communication, interpersonal, organization and detail orientation skills required. Must know Microsoft software products, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to navigate the internet.
