We have been retained by one of the key players in Hospitality Consulting in Italy as they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Hotel Capital Markets to lead and grow their hospitality investment advisory services across Italy.
The Capital Market Team, together with the Investment Properties team in Italy, offers a comprehensive service to client investing in hotel real estate.
The team provides institutiona clients (international and national) with advice on all hotel investments, both on the sales and acquisition side. The candidate will be integrated into the Hotel team of Capital Markets with the role of developing the business .
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and executing hotel real estate transactions, managing client relationships, and providing strategic guidance to investors, developers, and hotel operators.
This is a senior-level position for a results-driven professional with a deep understanding of hotel real estate markets and investment dynamics.
- Lead hotel investment transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and debt/equity structuring.
- Originate and manage client relationships with institutional investors, private equity firms, high-net-worth individuals, and hotel operators.
- Analysis of the hotel investment products
- Daily interaction with the other company teams (Capital Markets, Capital Advisor) and the Hotel Capital Markets team globally
- Conduct financial analysis, asset valuations, and investment underwriting for hotel assets and portfolios.
- Prepare and present investment memoranda, pitch books, and strategic recommendations.
- Oversee due diligence processes and coordinate with legal, tax, and technical consultants.
- Monitor hotel market trends, transaction activity, and capital flows in Italy and Europe.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Capital Markets, Research, Valuation, and Advisory.
- Mentor and develop junior team members and analysts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Minimum 810 years of experience in hotel investment, real estate advisory, or capital markets.
- Strong network within the hotel investment and development community in Italy not only in the major cities
- Deep understanding of hospitality market dynamics, valuation, deal structuring, and asset management.
- Proven track record in executing complex hotel transactions.
- Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken); other languages are a plus.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
