The NFIFO team supports responsible fishing practices, safety, pollution reduction, and sustainable industry development. Assignments may be at FAO headquarters, remotely, or on field missions.Reporting LinesWork under the supervision of the NFIFO Team Leader and a technical officer.Technical FocusIncludes law of the sea, fishing regulations, gear technology, waste management, infrastructure, vessel design, surveys, and project implementation.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesSupport project formulation, implementation, data management, outreach, and technical assistance. Specific tasks depend on the assignment and may include organizing events, collaborating with partners, policy support, and representing NFIFO.Candidate RequirementsUniversity degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience. Experience in fishing operations, vessel design, environmental impacts, pollution reduction, infrastructure, micro-finance, safety, or project management. Experience levels vary from 1 to 15 years depending on the position.
