About the assignment
For an innovative tech company in Amsterdam, I''m looking for an experienced Google Cloud Engineer to temporarily strengthen the team. In this role, you''ll play a key part in designing, building, and managing a secure and scalable GCP platform. The assignment is technically challenging and offers a high degree of freedom and responsibility, working alongside a team of skilled engineers.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Deployment Manager)
Optimize CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitLab CI, or Jenkins)
Set up monitoring and logging (e.g., Stackdriver / Cloud Monitoring / Prometheus)
Implement cloud security and compliance best practices
Collaborate with developers and other teams to ensure platform stability
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Cloud or DevOps Engineer
In-depth knowledge of GCP (e.g., Compute Engine, GKE, IAM, VPC, Cloud Functions)
Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools
Familiarity with containerization and Kubernetes (GKE is a plus)
Experience with CI/CD tools and automation
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or Go)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
Available for a minimum of 36 hours per week
Able to work independently and take ownership of quality
