OverviewThe Corporate Development Finance Associate will play a critical role in the evaluation, planning, and execution of M&A; deals and other strategic initiatives. The Corporate Development Finance team is part of News Corp''s corporate headquarters and the Associate will provide financial support for projects at corporate as well as across News Corp''s operating divisions (e.g., Dow Jones, HarperCollins, NY Post, etc.). The Associate will have exposure to critical projects across the worldwide businesses of News Corp and will work closely with senior executives in various functional areas of the company. The position is based at company headquarters in New York City.**Responsibilities**:Provide full financial support for M&A; deals (acquisitions, equity stakes, divestitures) including valuation analysis, due diligence, and financial guidanceDevelop financial models that support the assessment and underlying valuation of acquisition and/or investment opportunities. These models may include forecasts, DCF analyses, comparable companies and comparable transactions analyses, and accretion / (dilution) analysesAssist in management of the Office of the CEO approval process for investment opportunities corporate-wide including partnering with divisional finance teams to vet proposal economicsMaintain News Corp''s Long Range Plan model and use it to evaluate the financial implications of business performance, capital structure, and M&A; dealsServe as internal consultant to operating divisions to provide analysis and advice on M&A; deals and strategic initiatives as neededConduct research and prepare reports to update the executive leadership team on industry trends and companies of interestPrepare ad-hoc analyses for senior management including board decks, executive level presentations and other materialsQualificationsUndergraduate business degree in FinanceMinimum of 2 years in an M&A; role at an investment bank or in a Corporate Development role including experience working on completed M&A; transactionsExpert skills in financial modeling and valuation in ExcelStrong understanding of finance and accounting conceptsExperience with business case development for new business opportunitiesExcellent communication skills including the ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization and communicate with key stakeholdersAbout News CorpNews Corp is a global, diversified media and information services company focused on creating and distributing authoritative and engaging content to consumers throughout the world.
