For our client, an important multinational in the energy sector, we are looking for a Principle Sustainability Consultant.The Sustainability Consultant will engage with customers on sustainability issues, with a specific focus on decarbonization. They will support customers in developing decarbonization strategies and facilitate their execution by leveraging the company''s capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Italian Net Zero Center of Excellence.Manage sustainability engagements with selected customers in Italy and Europe.Assist customers in developing decarbonization strategies and roadmaps aligned with organizational targets.Enable companies to develop and maintain emissions inventories, science-based targets, and net zero plans.Analyze and quantify organizational and product carbon footprints according to ISO 14064-1 / 67 and GHG Protocol standards.Support the development of GHG emission reduction targets following CDP and SBTi guidelines.Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) to analyze product impacts.Manage sustainability reporting following standards such as GRI and SASB.Oversee decarbonization projects and support their execution using company capabilities like PPA advisory, energy efficiency solutions, and others.Assist customers in implementing Scope 3 emissions tracking and measurement, including supply chain engagement.Research and communicate global and local trends related to carbon and sustainability standards, legislation, and incentives.Build relationships with regulatory entities and partners to enhance the Net Zero offering.Develop and deliver webinars on decarbonization topics.Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with business development teams.Participate in skills training and maintain relevant certifications.Coordinate among the Net-Zero advisory team and sales to create value for customers.Perform additional duties such as presales as needed.Skills and QualificationsB.A. or B.S. degree required; Masters preferred.Minimum 7 years of consulting experience.At least 5 years in energy, sustainability, or decarbonization advisory.Deep knowledge of emission reporting schemes (voluntary and compliance), including Scope 1, 2, 3, ISO standards, and GHG Protocol.Knowledge of LCA and EPD methodologies, sustainability issues, circular economy, SBTi, and CDP.Understanding of renewable energy markets and products in Italy.Experience with data analysis and project management.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer relationship skills.High proficiency in English.Location: Rome or Milan, Italy#J-18808-Ljbffr
