Overview:
As the European Lead Scout at Al-Qadsiah Club, you will be responsible for managing scouting operations within a designated region. You will identify and evaluate first-team and emerging talent, ensuring all scouting aligns with the clubs methodology, recruitment strategy, and long-term objectives. You will also support academy integration and contribute to collaborative recruitment planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and ManagementLead and manage the scouting team for your designated regionEnsure scouts follow the established methodology and frameworkProvide ongoing support and development for regional scouts
Scouting Strategy and AlignmentOperate within the club''s recruitment methodology and strategic objectivesConduct regular reviews to ensure alignment with scouting targets and expectations
Player Evaluation and ReportingAttend live and online matches to evaluate player performanceConduct in-depth research on leagues and players as directedProduce detailed and structured reports using club templatesPresent findings and support informed recruitment decisions
Networking and Relationship BuildingBuild a regional network with clubs, agents, and fellow scoutsGather insights on player availability, development, and fit for the club
Collaboration with Technical Staff and LeadershipCollaborate with the Chief Scout and Technical Director to ensure player suitabilitySupport strategic planning with insights into regional player marketsPresent reports and scouting analysis to senior stakeholders
Professional Development and Continuous LearningParticipate in CPD activities as required by the Chief ScoutRemain current on league dynamics, scouting tools, and player trendsFulfill other responsibilities as directed to meet departmental needs
Qualifications
Desirable:Scouting certification (e.g. PFSA, UEFA Talent ID, or equivalent)Coaching qualifications (UEFA License or equivalent)
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:Experience in scouting or recruitment for a professional football club or federationProven talent identification and player evaluation abilitiesIn-depth knowledge of tactical, technical, and physical attributes of elite playersStrong familiarity with the football landscape in your designated regionAbility to assess players in line with club philosophySkilled in both live and video scouting, with a structured reporting styleUnderstanding of recruitment and squad planning strategiesProficient in scouting software and data toolsStrong networking and relationship-building skillsSelf-motivated and capable of working independentlyFlexible to travel, including weekends and eveningsValid driver''s license
Desirable:Leadership experience managing scouting teamsConfident presenting insights to executive leadershipPrevious experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East
