Environmental Specialist

At Petrogas E&P Netherlands B.V., we are looking for an Environmental Specialist to join our HSEQ team. In this role, you will play a vital role in managing and improving our environmental performance and ESG standards, while ensuring alignment with ISO 14001 and Dutch environmental legislation.

Your Role as Environmental Specialist
- Ensure alignment with HSEQ and ESG policies, procedures, and best practices
- Continuously improve the Environmental Stewardship (ES) process and maintain the Environmental Aspect Register
- Support internal departments with legal environmental compliance and sustainability goals
- Coordinate and process environmental data and KPIs for reporting and disclosure (e.g. e-MJV, ETS, ESRS, GRI)
- Maintain and improve alignment with ISO 14001 Environmental Management standards
- Engage in and support activities such as emergency response, chemicals management, audits, and management of change
- Represent the company in environmental working groups and translate key outcomes internally
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Law, or a comparable field
- 57 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within oil & gas or chemical industries
- Experience with ISO 14001:2015 and auditing practices
- Strong knowledge of Dutch environmental legislation
- Strong analytical skills with a pragmatic and structured approach
- Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders across departments
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Professional proficiency in English; intermediate proficiency in Dutch (spoken and written)
