Overview:

This role will be based in our Milan, Italy office and is an internship position.

Working within our Case Management team, you will be working on the NPL / UTP loans.

The person will be part of a team responsible for the ongoing management of a portfolio of borrower connections, interfacing with Private Equity clients, and meeting their objectives and time frames.

Responsibilities:

• With the guidance of (Senior) Asset Managers, provide assistance on a portfolio of borrower connections requiring effective and efficient management;
• Provide active support in the day-to-day management of underlying assets securing loans, including implementation of strategies for debt recovery and ongoing management of secured assets in a timely fashion;
• Support in drafting succinct credit applications for discussion and review with the client;
• Ensure all MI systems are always kept up to date and accurate;
• Assist (Senior) Asset Managers in the preparation and organisation of borrower meetings
• Help in preparation of internal and external reports.

Experience & Personal Attributes

• University degree in Banking or Economics/Finance/Private Equity;
• Good financial analytics skills with the ability to understand audited financial accounts, management accounts and financial forecasts an advantage;
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages (with key focus on Excel) with the ability to learn quickly other relevant systems;
• Fluent in English and Italian; both written and spoken (any other language would be considered as an asset);
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
• Attention to details and ability to prioritise workloads and manage timescales;
• Effective team player and eager to learn.
