Program Summary

Job Summary

As a Materials Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing production control, inventory control, and the shipping and receiving of materials. In this position you will be involved in the meticulous inspection of parts and materials for damage, verification of quantity, part number, and serial numbers of shipped items, and the preparation of detailed status reports. Working under general supervision, you will address complex problems using in-depth knowledge of the field and industry best practices.

Roles And Responsibilities

1. Administer production control, inventory control, and the shipping and receiving of materials.
2. Check parts and materials for damage.
3. Verify quantity, part numbers, and serial numbers of shipped items.
4. Record and prepare status reports of requested and received items.
5. Display core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, And Certifications)

1. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of directly related Logistics / Material Handling experience.
2. Must have working knowledge of MS Excel.
3. Knowledge of all relevant safety standards related to area of responsibility required.
4. Requires a valid driver''s license.
5. Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, And Certifications)

1. Associates or Bachelors Degree.
2. Cost Point proficiency.
3. Previous experience on LOGCAP.
