The position
As part of Hoogwegts ongoing expansion, the company is now looking for a Trader who will be joining the companys European team and will become responsible for buying and selling dairy products with a strong focus on the French markets. Therefore the position requires fluent to native French language skills. The position is based out of Hoogwegts headquarters in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Trading solids (primarily milk powders and butter) within Europe with a focus on France
- Managing and expanding a portfolio of strong long-term relationships with buyers and suppliers internationally to whom you will have to travel 10-20% of your time
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers in order to keep a 360 view on dairy market developments
- Collaborating closely with colleagues globally to share market insights, increase opportunity development and optimally coordinate the business end-to-end
- Managing positions and performing risk analyses on assigned portfolios
- Supporting the trading team to optimize commercial impact.
The role will report to the Commercial Director Europe based in Arnhem.
Job requirements
- Masters or Bachelors degree
- A minimum of 3 years of proven track-record within the B2B sector
- Fluency in French and English
- Value creation driven
- The ability to develop strong and sustainable relationships
- The ability to develop new opportunities into concrete business
- Numerically strong and strategically skilled
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to and leverage with global cultures
- Strong understanding of trade risk and regulations
