Chief Project Officer (CPO)

Our client, ABN Cleanroom Technology, is a leading innovator in cleanroom solutions, and we are proud to partner with them in attracting the right talent to help grow their business. Currently, we are seeking a Chief Project Officer (CPO) to lead their international project organization.

Built by entrepreneurs, which mean we we are looking for someone who is a fast-paced thinker with fresh perspectives and solid ideas, but also someone who knows the ropes and is able to lead a team forward. A seasoned professional with a very strong technical background in either cleanroom environments or industrial HVAC, who knows the ins and outs of external building projects and is looking to be more strategically involved.

Key responsibilities:

The Chief Project Officer will oversee the project organization of ABN Cleanroom Technology and maintain an overview of the entire project portfolio. You will be involved in the design, realization and maintenance of complex challenges in laboratories, hospitals, biotech & pharma, food, research and high-tech companies. The team of project managers is responsible for the successful completion of their cleanroom projects in the BENELUX and broader Europe. You will work very close with both internal stakeholders, clients and subcontractors to deliver customized cleanroom solutions in a reliable, sustainable and cost-efficient manner. You show initiative to challenge our stakeholders - partners and customers - to achieve the very best result.

Your team of project managers will rely on you for leadership and strategic guidance. At the same time, you will serve as a technical sparring partner, helping them navigate complex challenges. Around 20% of your time will be dedicated to internal projects and process optimization to ensure excellent project delivery.

What youll need to succeed:

• Multiple years of experience in managing complex projects at multiple customer locations within a technical and controlled environment.
• You have a completed (technical) Master or equivalent experience in the field and have either experience with cleanroom environments OR a very strong knowledge of HVAC.
• Although you know the Cleanroom environment well, you want to learn every day and the motto lifelong learning is right up your alley.
• You are not put off by occasional foreign projects (Europe max 25%), moreover you find international experiences very challenging.
• It is a team effort. You are able to manage both internal teams and external subcontractors in a way that makes an efficient and qualitative delivery possible.
• You are communicative and can handle both oral and written communication in English and Dutch. Being able to communicate in French is a plus.
