Our in-house developed 4X MMO was launched in 2018 and continues to evolve, being consistently one of the top 10 gross revenue Massive Multiplayer Strategy games on the market.What You Will DoPlay a supporting role to all internal QA resources, reviewing, assisting, and contributing to quality efforts across the team as neededEngage and provide feedback as early as the brief/design stages via static testing, highlighting additional test tools/cheat needs, pre-production quality concerns, or similar thingsSupport with the creation, maintenance, and coverage of relevant suites and associated test cases across the different teams you engage withReview and challenge team test plans, including scope of coverage, estimate accuracy, and resourcing needs from conception through to releaseHelp the internal QA resource to liaise and coordinate with a team of offshore testers, defining and communicating expectations, while monitoring progress and resultsReview and (where necessary) align and train external test teams to conform to expected bug reporting standards, while maintaining a tidy and prioritised backlog in coordination with the QA Leadership teamRates, via tools such as Datadog / Google Play / Apple Connect, particularly following a release in which you have supportedAligning with QA leadership, help standardise processes across Pods and Clusters, providing feedback and suggestions to better these where applicableWork closely with Customer Support & the Live & Release Cluster to investigate, document, and (where necessary) push for swift resolution of Live issues, owning and understanding where potential gaps existed, and plugging these for future circumstancesSupport the QA leadership team in attaining the department's goals through ownership and tracking of KPOs / OKRs What We're Looking ForStrong verbal / written communication skills and an excellent attention to detail Strong time management, accountability, and organisational skills An ability to negotiate and ensure you and your team's message is heard, all the while with a sound business understanding to ensure a correct balance and needs are met Proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Flexible to an agile setup with the ability to multitask, managing coverage for multiple high-profile releases with strict deadlines A strong commercial awareness with an understanding of business priorities and goals Exceptional reporting capabilities Extensive knowledge of JIRA and/or similar bug tracking systemsBonus PointsBackground in Automation testing Mobile exposure and an understanding of Apple / Google submission protocolA sound understanding of the gaming industry and the typical end-to-end development lifecycleAt Scopely, we create games for everyone - and want to ensure that the people behind our games reflect that!
