Job Description:

Our client, a leading insurance provider with a solid reputation in the Swiss market and an international footprint, is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Actuary - Life Insurance to join their growing team. This is a strategic role supporting the Head of Actuarial Function at group level across critical regulatory and actuarial initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Head of Actuarial Function on group-level regulatory and actuarial matters (SST, Solvency II)
  2. Evaluate the adequacy of technical provisions and develop actuarial valuation assumptions and methodologies
  3. Coordinate actuarial inputs for SST calculations and internal/external reporting
  4. Apply and refine actuarial models and methodologies used in ORSA processes
  5. Conduct validations, sensitivity analyses, and assess reinsurance program performance
  6. Monitor product profitability and analyze the impact of assumption or reinsurance changes
  7. Prepare and present the Actuarial Function Report to senior management and the Executive Committee

Your Profile:

  1. University degree in mathematics, actuarial science, economics, or a related field
  2. Actuarial certification (e.g., SAV, DAV, or equivalent) is a strong plus
  3. Minimum 10 years of experience in life and/or health insurance
  4. Deep understanding of SST and Solvency II reporting requirements
  5. Proficient with actuarial tools such as Prophet and/or programming languages like Python
  6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to simplify complex actuarial topics for non-technical stakeholders
  7. Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
