As a Construction Project Manager you will be partof highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling fascinatingand challenging problems building and delivering HV infrastructureassets. TheConstruction Project Manager is ultimately responsible for theoversight and review of all disciplines including civil,electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural. TheConstruction Project Manager will be a leader withincross-functional teams and drive delivery of your assigned projectsthrough the execution stage. Key jobresponsibilities - The role will involve construction projectmanagement and oversight of construction related activities as theyrelate to new substation and transmission line projects in Italy.This will include the ownership of the project scope, timeline, andbudget. - Direct interface with construction general contractorsduring bidding, award, execution, and project closeout/punch listphases. - Work with general contractors and vendors to deliverefficient and high quality project turn-overs in line withelectrical utility requirements. - Lead negotiations with generalcontractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy. -Creation of construction project scope and request for proposals. -Construction submittal review. - Construction project qualitycontrol including the creation of a commissioning plan and supportof the commissioning process. - Be a leader within the group aswell as within internal and external teams that support the datacenter. - Concurrently managing multiple projects. - Recording andreporting key metrics to team members and senior management. -Capital requests/financial analysis of construction work includingchange orders, purchase orders, and invoicing. - Overseeconstruction project quality control including the creation of acommissioning plan and support of the commissioning process. -Recording and reporting key construction metrics to team membersand management. - Drive teams to perform troubleshooting androot-cause failure analysis associated with equipment or electricalfailures. - Negotiating easements/wayleaves with land owners,utilities, etc. - Value engineering: reduce costs through creativesolutions with no impact on quality and reliability (new designs,technology, or construction methods). - Travel to sites forleadership walk downs, audits, inspections, start-up testing, andfull commissioning. - Travel to other sites in the EMEA region upto 40% of time.
