The Production and Project Engineer will assist the Site Manager in leading the operation of the Ground Calcium Carbonates plant, including production planning and maintenance.He/she will strive to sustain product quality and improve safety, efficiency, and conditions of the plant, with a particular focus on energy, aiming for minimum operating costs.He/she will ensure all activities comply with regulations and Imerys policies, especially regarding environment, health and safety, and labor standards.He/she will provide subordinates with relevant operating procedures, instructions, and training, manage their performance, and support their development.He/she will lead projects, including SAP implementation, in collaboration with Hub and BA support functions.JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONSPart of Performance Minerals EMEA Business Area, Italy Hub.PM EMEA industrial footprint: 80 sites in 24 countries, 3700 employees, 1.2b revenue.Gran Bianco is a dry milling plant producing 60kT/year of dry GCC powder, in paper bags, big bags, and bulk.The role reports to the Site Manager of Gran Bianco and has potential for evolution, including managing a team of 9 staff (including 2 supervisors) and 4 temporary workers.KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESEHS:Ensure implementation of all Environment, Health, and Safety regulations and Imerys protocols by employees and contractors.Develop and update risk assessments and safe work methods.Maintain and improve safe work conditions, eliminating or controlling hazards.Address unsafe conditions and behaviors, investigate root causes, and remediate incidents.Lead safety culture development and manage safety actions to keep operations accident-free.Supervise health, safety, and environment reporting using Imerys tools.Other responsibilities include communicating objectives, managing performance, improving skills, motivating employees, applying ethical standards, establishing production plans, supervising production, tracking KPIs, ensuring process efficiency, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.Project Support:Identify and investigate ideas for process improvements, new product development, and product mix adaptation.Provide data for investment analysis and support ongoing projects like SAP, energy savings, and renewable energy initiatives.Maintain CAPEX tracker for the site.Data/Reporting:Feed SAP with necessary production, maintenance, and quality data.Maintain accurate records and documentation.Handle all required reporting within his/her scope.Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers.JOB SPECIFICATIONSEnthusiastic, hands-on engineer interested in machinery and teamwork, with an industrial, mechanical, or process engineering degree.Preferably 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or mining sectors.Mandatory fluency in Italian and English.Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership BehaviorsTeamwork and ability to work in a matrix organization.Dedicated, open-minded, flexible, multitasking.Analytical and problem-solving skills.IT literacy (spreadsheets, data analysis, presentations).Ability to embody Imerys Leadership values.#J-18808-Ljbffr
