Mantell Associates is currently partnered with one of the most innovative CDMO organisation who are searching for a Senior DSP Technician to join their team. Senior DSP Technician - Responsibilities: Execute and oversee downstream processing operations, including chromatography, filtration (TFF/UF/DF), centrifugation, and buffer exchange according to SOPs and batch records. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to purification systems and equipment, escalating as needed to engineering or QA. Maintain accurate documentation of batch records, logbooks, deviations, and change controls in compliance with GMP standards. Train and mentor junior DSP technicians, fostering knowledge-sharing and promoting best practices. Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and cleaning of DSP equipment and maintain the facility in audit-ready condition. Assist in process development and scale-up activities, collaborating with RD and process engineering teams. Support tech transfer activities for new products and process changes from development to manufacturing. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, contributing to a safe and compliant work environment. Senior DSP Technician Requirements: Bachelors degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field; relevant industry certifications or extensive experience may be considered in lieu. Minimum of 5 years experience in downstream processing within a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical or life sciences environment. Proficiency in chromatography systems (e.g., KTA systems), TFF systems, and other purification technologies. Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, and regulatory compliance standards (FDA, EMA, ICH). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues independently. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for cross-functional collaboration and documentation. Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks under strict timelines.
