What are we looking for?
We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Android Mobile engineer to join our team as freelancer. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Android development using Kotlin and a passion for creating high-quality mobile applications. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our team''s success.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Apply SOLID principles and clean code practices to new features, and refactor legacy code to meet current standards.
- Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Kotlin.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and best practices.
- Write unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure code robustness and reliability.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues in existing Android applications.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Development and maintenance of existing and new libraries and SDKs.
- Optimizing application performance for a seamless and responsive user experience.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and technologies
The Ideal candidate will have:
- +8 years of professional experience in Android mobile development.
- Strong expertise in Kotlin, with a deep understanding of modern Android architecture components (e.g., Jetpack, ViewModel, LiveData, Room).
- Proficiency in writing clean, readable, and well-documented code.
- Familiarity with SOLID principles and Android frameworks such as Navigation Component, Dependency Injection, Flow, Contracts.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern declarative UI frameworks.
- Unit testing experience with Mock or JUnit.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts.
We would love to know more about you if you have:
- Interest in psychology and mental health.
- Fluency in English and native Spanish
- Bachelor degree / vocational training.
- Familiarity with modular architecture.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Gitlab CI/CD, Bitrise).
- Contributions to open-source or personal tech projects.

What do we offer?
- Freelance contract (6 months with possibility to prolonged to 9)
- Full-time commitment: 40h/week
- Fully remote: Work from anywhere
- Competitive compensation: 4,5005,000/month, depending on experience (28/hour aprox).
