Group 36Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) IntegrationThe Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Integration Group supports the Missile Defense Agency in the development, deployment, testing, and enhancement of the ballistic missile defense system. This system is currently being developed to defend the United States, deployed forces, and allies from ballistic missile attacks. The group performs detailed system and component engineering, flight and ground test analysis, and advanced capability development in collaboration with the contractors and government program offices that are building the missile defense elements and components. Several elements are being developed, tested, and deployed in the near future, including the ground-based missile defense element (to protect the United States from intercontinental ballistic missiles) and a ship-based Aegis ballistic missile defense element (to protect deployed forces and allies against shortand medium-range ballistic missiles).The co-op student will be involved in providing IT hardware/software support for 100+ users in the BMDS Group.The student will be required to work with the IT staff to provide day-to-day support.The student will work as a helpdesk technician, providing support to staff members within the group.Student should be proficient with Windows (7/10/2008/2012), Linux (CentOS/RHEL preferred), and PC hardware.Knowledge of networking is a plus.In addition to working at the helpdesk, the co-op will be involved with on-going projects.Projects are aimed to expand on the students knowledge of all things relating to IT.Student must be self-motivated, well organized, and able to work with mnimal guidance.**Requirements**: Must be currently enrolled in college for one year or more in a CS/CE/IT degree program with at least a 3.0 GPA.
