The opportunity
To support the growth of our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team in Switzerland, we are hiring highly-qualified resources in Zurich/Basel . We are looking for a Senior and/or a Manager to support our US-Focused Markets Group (US-FMG). This role involves developing and leading US GAAP and US capital markets specific FAAS projects across various industries, focusing on client needs and innovative solutions.
Your key responsibilities
- Collaborate with EY FAAS leadership in Switzerland and Germany to develop strategies for clients.
- Work with other service lines to provide integrated service delivery across functions in an international team.
- Manage and deliver US GAAP / US capital markets FAAS projects, contributing to the growth of the US-FMG.
- Ensure client needs are fully understood and deliverables are clear, accurate, and well-presented.
- Deliver work timely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Engage in developing new opportunities related to FAAS projects, solutions, and relationships.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify, you must have:
- A Bachelor or Master degree (preferably in Accounting/Finance) and relevant professional education such as US CPA (preferred), Swiss CPA, ACCA, or CFA.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in audit or consulting, focusing on US GAAP, PCAOB, SOX, SEC, and US capital market transactions.
- Advisory experience with capital markets transactions like IPOs, debt listings, carve-outs, etc. is strongly encouraged.
- Knowledge of IFRS is a plus, supporting GAAP conversion projects.
- Proven leadership in managing and mentoring teams.
- Strong technical writing and risk management skills.
- Proactive, flexible, team-oriented, with intellectual curiosity and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Ability to build networks in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written); German and French are a plus.
