Head of production - for in-orbit electric space propulsion
ThrustMe is a deep-tech industrial scaleup in the space sector, leading the transition from few, tailored sub-systems, to fully integrated and smart propulsion solutions at industrial scale.
We are now entering a new growth phase. With more than 200 propulsion systems delivered and close to 100 already in orbit, we are now scaling up our industrial production capacity to meet increasing global demandwhile preparing for the next generation of our propulsion products.
To support this transition, we are recruiting a Head of Production to lead the scale-up of our manufacturing operations.
Your mission:
You will take full ownership of the production line of our NPT30-I2 system, our flagship electric propulsion solution. Your first objective will be to increase capacity to 25 then 40 units per month, while maintaining the stringent quality standards required for launch and in-space performance. In parallel, you will work closely with our product and engineering teams to set up the industrial blueprint for our upcoming JPT150 system, and establish the production line for this new product.
Your responsibilities:
- Drive the scale-up of production capacity for the NPT30-I2 system, with full responsibility for lead time, quality, and cost.
- Grow and structure a high-performing production team, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth industrialization of the JPT150 system.
- Implement and optimize production processes, flows, and tools, including documentation and traceability.
- Define and track production OKRs and KPIs, and report regularly to the management team.
- Take part in production-related client discussions, including audits and non-conformity investigations.
Your profile:
- You have a proven track record in scaling production in a deep-tech or industrial environment (space, aerospace, automotive, hardware tech, etc.).
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team, and enjoy turning complex challenges into structured, actionable solutions.
- You combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, and are driven by results, quality, and team development.
- Experience with space-grade hardware or high-reliability components is a strong plus.
- You speak French fluently and master business English
Why join us:
- Be part of a team delivering mission-critical technology already flying in space.
- Play a central role in industrializing a globally recognized space startup.
- Join a collaborative, diverse, and ambitious team working at the forefront of the Industrial Space era.
