We are seeking a team member to work as a HSE Manager at Ballast Nedam International Projects for the Saba Black Rock Harbor Project, located in the Caribbean, with the following qualifications.
The role involves:
- Establishing and implementing the companys HSE Management System on project site in alignment with Company Headquarters'' standards.
- Ensuring compliance with local legislation, international HSE standards, and management systems at the project level.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting project-specific HSE performance to the Company Headquarter.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in health and safety management, with a focus on marine and jetty construction.
- Demonstrated experience working with engineering and construction companies on large-scale international projects.
- Excellent command of English (knowledge of the local language for project assignment is an asset).
- Familiarity with local HS laws and regulations in project countries (preferred).
- Internationally accredited certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, IASP, or equivalent).
- Comprehensive knowledge of international HS standards (e.g., ISO 45001, OSHA, European Norms).
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills for site-based operations.
- Ability to adapt to and work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee the HSE Management System on Project.
- Develop and maintain operational documents, such as procedures and instructions, specific to the assigned project and aligned with the companys management systems.
- Ensure the project site adheres to all required safety measures and proactively address potential risks.
- Monitor and assess the HSE performance of the project, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Participate in project-specific Client HSE meetings, acting as the primary representative for HSE matters.
- Prepare and submit periodic HSE reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)
