We are currently supporting a leading non-profitorganization in the search for a Head of Accounting to lead theirlocal accounting function in Belgium. This key position combinesoperational ownership, team coordination, and close collaborationwith the Group finance structure. We are currently supporting aleading non-profit organization in the search for a Head ofAccounting to lead their local accounting function in Belgium. Thiskey position combines operational ownership, team coordination, andclose collaboration with the Group finance structure. This is not apurely supervisory role, we are looking for someone hands-on, ableto deliver and support the team on the ground while respectingdeadlines, internal procedures, and local legal constraints.Reporting directly to the Local Finance Manager and working inclose dotted-line with the Group Accounting Manager, you willensure the end-to-end management of accounting processes for sixBelgian entities (both company and non-profit). You will lead ateam of 3 accountants and 1 business controller, oversee allaccounting operations, and guarantee the timely and compliantdelivery of financial reports and tax declarations in accordancewith both local regulations and Group-level processes. YourResponsibilities: Coordinate, organize, and supervise allaccounting activities, ensuring proper execution of monthly andannual closings, VAT declarations, ISOC, Intrastat, BNB filings,etc. Actively support your team in operational tasks when needed(e.g. invoice encoding, catch-up for deadlines). Apply and promoteGroup processes at local level while ensuring full compliance withBelgian accounting and tax rules. Plan and monitor teamdeliverables with a strong focus on deadlines, structure, andcontinuous improvement. Ensure proper interaction with internalclients and external stakeholders (e.g. auditors, tax advisors suchas BDO). Contribute to ongoing digitalization efforts (emailautomation, workflow streamlining). Act as a trusted partner to theLocal Finance Manager and play a key role in knowledge transfer andupskilling within a dynamic finance team. Bachelor''s degree inAccounting; specialization in Taxation is an asset. 10-15 years''experience in general accounting with solid people managementexposure. End-to-end accounting expertise, from bookkeeping toannual accounts and tax declarations (ISOC, VAT, patrimonial tax).Strong knowledge of Belgian regulations and ability to managemultiple entities simultaneously. Experience with non-profit/ASBLstructures is a plus. Operational mindset when needed. Proficiencyin Excel is a must (pivot tables, formulas); familiarity with Teamsand Agresso (Unit4) is an asset. Languages: fluent in French orDutch with a good command of English (used in group interactions).Excellent communication skills, approachable, and structured.
