As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities to expand our EV charging network. You will engage with potential site hosts, strategic partners, and commercial property stakeholders across a range of verticals including retail, hospitality, real estate, fleet, and public sector.
You will take ownership of the full commercial cycle from lead generation through to contract signing and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless handover into delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target new business opportunities to host EV charging infrastructure (fast, rapid, and ultra-rapid).
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders in property, hospitality, local authorities, real estate, and fleet sectors.
- Conduct site assessments in collaboration with technical and survey teams to evaluate commercial and technical feasibility.
- Negotiate and close deals, securing site acquisition or partnership agreements in line with company objectives.
- Develop and manage a healthy pipeline of prospects using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, legal, delivery, and marketing) to ensure smooth transition from contract to installation.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to enhance brand visibility and develop market intelligence.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial partnerships ideally in the EV, energy, renewables, or real estate sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to structure and negotiate deals.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of EV infrastructure and charging technologies is a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel across the UK or designated region.
