We are looking for an Datacenter Hands Feet IT Support to join our team at a clients facility in Buc (78), France. This role is offered on a 12 month contract to start asap.
The Datacenter Hands Feet IT Support L2 will be required to support operation work for a small/medium based client.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Adding memory/flash to existing Non-End User Devices or Devices
- Patching, moving an existing switch or router;
- Installing, decommissioning, or moving WAP, WLC; Smart Edge, Firewall devices
- Installing new, or moving existing, access points for coverage expansion No higher than usage of a 6-foot ladder; however for a higher ladder parties shall mutually discuss and agree.
- Decommissioning a single Non-End User Device, including verifying the impact of such decommissioning and/or shutting the Device down;
- Should be able to perform IMACD Installation, Move, Add, Change, and Disposal Services of the Data Center, network equipment
- Troubleshoot issues with fiber links between switches Able to visualize errors and communicate to remote technical teams
- Troubleshoot and replace network switch chassis blades when required.
- Support end devices such as AR Headsets, Clocks, WiFi heart monitors, Puppy Cube Projectors, etc.
- Wireless access point Audit to update new WAP diagram.
- Conducting Site surveys, including asset inventory validation;
- Conduct WLAN surveys; installing, decommissioning or moving WAP;
- Granting Site access for the Customers third parties.
- May also be required to conduct conference room equipment upgrades where they are swapping devices and following the provided step-by-step processes. Detailed instructions and support will be provided prior to the technician conducting this work.
- Assist network and data center admins (Internal, Customer, and Vendor) as required during the course of technical troubleshooting
- Have hands-on experience in large/medium enterprise Data Centers or hosting sites consisting of Servers, Storage, and Network devices
- Provide on call after hours support for any P2 issue.
Job Requirements:
- IT Diploma / certifications with minimum 3 to 6 years of experience.
- Basic knowledge of Network Devices such as Switches, Routers, Wireless Access Points preferably CISCO, Riverbed
- Basic knowledge on different cable types, port types, SFPs etc
- Basic troubleshooting of VOIP phones (knowledge of basic configuration)
- Basic knowledge about Hardware like Servers and storage devices
- Racking and patching any new Non-End User Devices or Device(s)Patch phone ports to switch as needed.
- Good to understand on any Data Center Infrastructure Management Application
- Hands on experience on Structured cabling in the site
- Able to demonstrate experienced in solving complex business or technical issues.
- Should have exposure to ITIL framework, preferable ITSM tool is Remedy (Incident, Problem and Change Management)
- Demonstrable results in a business customer facing role, with a track record of delivering services to defined service levels.
- Fluent in French/ good technical English to communicate with international teams.
