While your core focus will be on onshore wind development, your work will connect to a much larger story of energy transformation across the region.
They''re now expanding their Wind Prospecting Team and looking for a dynamic and driven Business Developer to lead the identification and development of wind energy sites across Flanders, with a focus on agricultural and industrial zones.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Scout and assess locations for new onshore wind projects, focusing on long-term viability and technical feasibility.
- Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with landowners, local governments, and regional stakeholders.
- Analyze planning data, environmental constraints, and spatial regulations to identify viable project opportunities.
- Lead negotiations for land use agreements and contracts, working closely with legal advisors.
- Contribute to the permitting process by preparing applications and supporting documentation.
- Initiate and manage partnerships that support faster, more efficient project progress.
- Translate high-level strategy into actionable development roadmaps in collaboration with public affairs and technical teams.
Your Profile
- Demonstrated experience in business development within the renewable energy, infrastructure, or real estate sectorspreferably with direct exposure to onshore wind.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for building lasting partnerships with stakeholders such as landowners, local authorities, and community leaders.
- Confident navigating environmental, zoning, and permitting regulations to bring projects through to completion.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Flanders region.
