DIGI ITALY, a multinational company operating in theTelecommunications (TLC) sector with a presence in five Europeancountries and more than 24,000 employees, is looking for a SoftwareEngineer to join its team in the Milan office. JobResponsibilities: - Supporting the software development life cycleby designing and developing new and current projects using webrelated technologies (PHP, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL etc.). - Workingclosely with other teams inside the department (Architects, DevOps,DBAs, Engineers) in order to integrate applications into thecompanys current ecosystem (SOAP/REST/JSON-RPC, RabbitMQ,WebServices/MicroServices and similar). - Acting both independentlyand as team-member depending on the project size. - Writingfunctional and unit tests, monitoring systems performance -Promoting continuous improvement within the code and within thedepartment. - Applying best practices compliant with industrystandards Requirements: - Minimum 2-3 years with PHP 7 and MVCframeworks (at least one of ZendFramework/Laminas, Symfony orsimilar), strong OOP skills, design patterns. - Minimum 2-3 yearswith JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks and related tools (at leastone of ExtJS, UnderscoreJS, RequireJS, jQuery, jQuery UI orsimilar). - Minimum 1-2 years with SQL and NoSQL databases (atleast one of MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) from schema designto query optimisation and fine-tunning; - Basic HTML/CSS knowledgeand CSS frameworks (bootstrap or similar). - Proven ability tobalance technical leadership with people managementresponsibilities - Excellent communication skills, both written andverbal, for technical and non-technical audiences - Experienceleading engineering teams and collaborating with product managementteams - Broad grounding in all aspects of distributed systemsdevelopment - understanding of distributed systems concepts and APIdevelopment - Solid design and problem-solving skills with ademonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security,and performance - Success in mentoring team members into leadershiproles Proficiency in English mandatory This announcement isaddressed to both sexes, in accordance with laws 903/77 and 125/91,and to persons of all ages and nationalities, in accordance withlegislative decrees 215/03 and 216/03.
