HAYS IT is assisting one of their clients, Telenet, a leading provider of telecommunications and digital services, in their search for an experienced Analytics Engineer. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.

The position includes fixed office days on Monday and Wednesday, occasional visits to the headquarters in Mechelen, and flexibility for additional office visits or meetings as needed. Fluency in English is required, and fluency in Dutch is considered a plus.

The ideal candidate has:

• A Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related education/experience.
• Extensive experience in production-level data environments.
• Proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, and DBT (Data Build Tool).
• Familiarity with modern schedulers such as Dagster or Airflow.
• Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to challenge stakeholders effectively.
• A problem-solving mindset with expertise in designing scalable frameworks and combining data assets across products.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience working with external partners.
• Familiarity with customer-centric environments.

This is a long-term project, with a contract running until the end of the year, with the possibility of extension. The start date is as soon as possible.
