We are seeking a remote Associate Director, Sustainability Marketing & Capability Building to develop our sustainability strategies at the site, product, and divisional levels. You will serve as a key global leader for the Lonza Capsule & Health Ingredient (CHI) business, enhancing awareness and skills within the CHI community on sustainability and decarbonization topics.
Sustainability Marketing
- Act as the sustainability focal point for CHI Commercial and Marketing functions (Sales, Business Development, Marketing, etc.).
- Collaborate with our center of applied sustainability to translate Lonza CHIs sustainability strategic roadmap into clear commercial value propositions.
- Engage with customers: work closely with sales, supply chain, and product management to communicate our sustainability efforts and foster partnerships.
- Support understanding customer sustainability needs and translate these into product requirements and value propositions.
- Lead and facilitate customer workshops or audits on sustainability topics.
- Stay ahead of pharma and Health & Nutrition market trends in sustainability through research, conference participation, and report preparation.
- Respond to sustainability requests from the market and customers, collaborating with the CHI center of applied sustainability.
- Contribute to assessments of life cycle initiatives (e.g., emission reduction, water consumption) across CHI.
Capability Building
- Develop, implement, and train on engagement strategies in collaboration with CHI Internal Communication and HR.
- Create and roll out training content and impact-driven programs to enhance organizational climate literacy.
- Expand sustainability knowledge among CHI employees globally and locally.
- Drive customer engagement initiatives to promote sustainability actions.
- Champion sustainability internally and externally, raising awareness among employees, customers, advocacy groups, and industry partners.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor''s or Masters degree or equivalent in sustainability or business administration.
- Significant experience leading sustainability projects and integrating them into marketing strategies.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to CHI sites and global conferences.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
