C++ Software Engineer Low-Latency Trading Systems (Amsterdam)
We are seeking a talented and pragmatic C++ Software Engineer to join our elite low-latency trading infrastructure team based in Amsterdam. In this role, you''ll work closely with hardware engineers and the FPGA team to push the boundaries of speed and efficiency in high-frequency trading systems.
As part of a high-impact team, you''ll be responsible for designing and implementing performance-critical components of our ultra-low-latency trading stack. You will collaborate across disciplinesincluding systems, networking, and hardware accelerationto develop software that runs at nanosecond scale and directly influences trading decisions in real-time.
What Youll Do:
- Build and optimize latency-sensitive C++ applications for high-frequency trading.
- Collaborate with FPGA and hardware engineers to co-design hardware/software interfaces.
- Develop low-level components such as network drivers, tick-to-trade pipelines, and serialization protocols.
- Continuously benchmark, profile, and tune performance across the full system stack.
- Contribute to the design of highly concurrent systems and real-time decision engines.
About You:
- Expert-level C++ (C++17/20 preferred) with a deep understanding of systems programming.
- Solid experience with low-latency systems, performance tuning, and multithreading.
- Strong familiarity with Linux, networking (TCP/UDP, multicast), and kernel-level tuning.
- Prior exposure to co-development with FPGA teams or hardware/software integration is a strong plus.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a results-driven mindset.
- Bachelor''s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
