Position Summary
On Air is hiring a Senior Data Analyst & Engineer to join our fast-growing team in Baarn, The Netherlands. This hybrid role combines data analysis, engineering, and AI-driven innovation to help scale our global streaming platform.
You will collaborate with teams across the business, including Product, Marketing, Media, and Finance. Your work will shape how data is captured, interpreted, and applied to real-world decisions. From improving livestream performance and fan engagement to increasing e-commerce results and supporting leadership with key insights, your contributions will have a measurable impact.
As we continue to integrate AI and automation into our platform, you will explore how tools like Large Language Models can power smarter dashboards, predictive models, and personalized user experiences.

- This is a full-time, in-office position in Baarn, requiring presence five days per week.
Responsibilities
- Directly answer business-critical questions by exploring, analyzing, and interpreting structured and unstructured datasets across various platforms.
- Design and implement dashboards, reports, and visualizations that drive product and marketing decision-making.
- Own and evolve our data analytics and engineering stack (currently including: Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Looker, OneTrust, Appsflyer, Shopify, AWS (S3, Redshift, Athena, Lambda), BigQuery, Firebase, and VWO).
- Design and maintain ETL pipelines and help migrate toward a future-proof, AI-assisted data platform.
- Drive our AI roadmap for data by identifying use cases where Large Language Models (LLMs), predictive analytics, and proprietary models can enhance decision-making and customer insights.
- Translate analytics requirements into technical specifications and manage implementation using Google Tag Manager and event automation tools such as Elevar.
- Optimize upstream and downstream data integrations with tools like Awin (affiliate tracking), Brevo (email), and GTM-based event setups.
- Work with internal stakeholders (Finance, Marketing, Media) and external clients to deliver accurate data products and performance reports.
- Continuously improve and document our data workflows, pipelines, and AI-enhanced processes.
- Troubleshoot data issues, perform root-cause analyses, and provide clear communication and resolution documentation.
- Stay on top of trends in analytics, data engineering, and AI to proactively introduce improvements to the platform.
Skills and experience
- 5+ years experience in a data analytics or engineering role, ideally in a fast-paced digital or e-commerce environment.
- Strong experience with SQL, data warehousing (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery), and data pipeline design.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and working with cloud-native infrastructure (especially AWS and serverless architecture).
- Proven experience with Google Tag Manager for deploying and managing web and app analytics events.
- Familiarity with analytics, attribution, and optimization tools (Firebase, Appsflyer, GA4, VWO).
