This is a hybrid role based in the Warsaw office (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).
What You'll Do
- Design and build software systems that serve a wide range of users including merchants, B2B, and government solutions.
- Contribute to internal standards for scalability, security, reusability, and product quality.
- Develop and maintain RESTful services using Spring Boot and Hibernate.
- Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio for containerization, orchestration, and service mesh.
- Create well-structured, testable, and performant code that adheres to secure coding practices.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and DevOps to refine requirements and design scalable solutions.
- Participate in and lead code reviews, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Work in agile squads, building next-generation technologies including real-time payments, BNPL platforms, and transaction services.
- Contribute to technical documentation and mentoring team members.
What Were Looking For
- 6+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases, and distributed system design.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Git, Maven, Jenkins.
- Understanding of secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP).
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
