Senior Engineer - constructionLocation: Greater DublinType: Full-time, permanent€65,000.00 - €80,000.00A leading residential construction company with a strong presence across Greater Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join their dynamic site team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile housing and apartment developments with a company that values technical excellence, collaboration, and long-term career growth.Key Responsibilities:Take ownership of on-site Health Safety management.Review and comment on design drawings; raise RFIs as needed.Attend and contribute to Design Team Meetings, resolving design issues promptly.Ensure technical submittals are shared effectively with the site team.Monitor project progress and prevent programme delays.Manage subcontractor coordination, especially for testing and commissioning stages.Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, quality standards, and internal QA systems.Oversee and support the benchmarking, inspection, and documentation process (including BCAR and Zutec systems).Liaise with third-party utilities (e.g. ESB, Irish Water) and local authorities.Support temporary works implementation and champion value engineering.Mentor and lead junior engineers and site support teams.The Ideal Candidate:A minimum of 5 years' experience in a site engineering role.Degree-qualified (Level 8) in Civil Engineering or similar.Strong communication and coordination skills.Experience managing subcontractors and site packages.Proven ability to meet deadlines and uphold high quality standards.Comfortable taking initiative and leading technical delivery on site.What's on Offer:Highly competitive salary bonus scheme.Full health insurance pension contributions.Vehicle or travel allowance (role dependent).Continuous professional development and training.Annual performance/salary reviews.Generous annual leave and paid maternity/paternity leave.Wellbeing support through Employee Assistance Programme.Excellent long-term career progression in a well-structured organisation.
