THE OPPORTUNITY
The Procurement Buyer will define, communicate, and ensure short to long term category strategy implementation. You will be responsible for strategic and sustainable procurement delivering business advantages: market intelligence, economies of scale, cost competitiveness, efficiency projects, risk management, strategic alliances with partners and Innovation. This role will specifically focus on the meat category.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Defining Sourcing Strategy short-medium and long term based on category management and according to business needs.
- Use data to lead effective negotiations
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders (R&D, factories, quality, finance etc).
- Define Sourcing Map and Market Strategy (local/imports/mix)
- Propose and align Procurement coverage together with Business
- Anticipation and Resiliency to adapt our Strategy to any potential changes (regulatory, import bans, duties, market dynamics, force majeure. etc.) as Procurement Risk Management to guarantee a sustainable and a competitive business
- Define Supplier Relationship Management depending on the more strategic or tactic approach
- Establish Governance and Control guaranteeing transparency and procurement execution
- Business Intimacy, bi-directional, for alignment of Procurement Strategy and Business Strategy (VCP) to maximize our Business competitiveness
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience
- Must have certain experience in Direct materials and mid to high-level interaction with some stakeholders: Factories, R&D, Quality, Finance
- Currently involved in direct contact with Suppliers: negotiations, contract management, supplier assessments, etc.
