Freelance Telecoms Business Project Manager
My client is looking for a Freelance Project Manager to manage end to end projects in collaboration with their partner Mwingz. For this they need someone who can be a quick starter and already has experience with the Mwingz internal processes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage and drive the end-to-end execution of projects related to Mwingz. Ensure that project goals and deliverables are met within the set timelines and budget.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management: Lead customer meetings to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations. Proactively engage with key stakeholders to provide status updates, resolve issues, and ensure overall satisfaction with the project''s progress.
- Capacity & Volume Assessment: Conduct volume and capacity assessments to identify requirements and ensure the projects are scaled appropriately to meet the needs of the business and the end customers.
- Forecasting & Planning: Develop and manage accurate forecasting plans to ensure resources, timelines, and deliverables are aligned with business needs and objectives. Adjust plans as necessary to address any changes or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership & Coordination: Coordinate the efforts of cross-functional teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and working towards common objectives. Manage resources effectively to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify and address potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle, developing mitigation strategies to ensure the projects stay on track.
Requirements for the Candidate:
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the Telecoms industry, with a focus on large-scale business unit management.
- Experience with Mwingz, either having worked there or worked with stakeholders/high level executives.
- Strong track record in customer-facing roles, with experience in conducting client meetings and managing customer relationships.
- Expertise in capacity planning, volume assessments, and project forecasting.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Knowledge:
- Deep knowledge of Mwingz technologies and services, with established business connections within the Mwingz ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Nokia solutions and platforms, including their integration into telecom operations and service delivery.
- Strong understanding of project management tools and methodologies, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of telecom infrastructure, capacity planning, and forecasting techniques.
Bonuses:
- Previous experience with business unit management or portfolio management.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and infrastructure in a telecom context.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French or Dutch is a plus.
