Responsibilities: -Sustainability Strategy Development and Implementation: develop andimplement the Business Unit (BU) Sustainability Strategy to delivervalue aligned with the business plan of all Platforms. Developingand revising the materiality topics, setting and tracking cleartargets and KPIs, and integrating them into the business planningand performance management process. - Sustainability Governance:establish and manage the global Sustainability governance,policies, standards and programs to ensure full compliance with thestrategy, regulations and stakeholders'' requirements. -Sustainability Committee: lead the Committee, comprising the CEOand its direct reports, to drive the companys sustainabilityagenda forward. Facilitate regular committee meetings to reviewprogress, set priorities, and mobilize resources acrossdepartments, ensuring the integration and success of sustainabilityinitiatives across the globe. - Sustainability Communication,Training and Reporting: Oversee the sustainability report process,following international methodologies (GRI, SASB, CSRD), as well asother related reports requested by stakeholders. Monitor andanalyze sustainability trends and regulations to ensure thecompany''s practices remain ahead of compliance requirements andindustry benchmarks. - Shareholder Sustainability Focal Point: actas the primary focal point of Nidec Corporation. Manage and cascadeshareholders directives, goals and requests and report back withrelevant/necessary information and KPIs. - ESG Risks andOpportunities: map risks and opportunities in all the companysareas. This activity follows global trends and regulationsrequested by stakeholders and Nidec Corporation Japan. - Supportand guide other areas in creating programs and projects to deliverthe company''s sustainability targets: mapping existing practicesand initiatives within ACIM business unit, assessing ESG risks andopportunities, developing targets and managing KPIs in differenttopics. - Team and budget management: giving feedback and relyingon defined processes/systems for salary movements and other peoplemanagement issues. Related to budget, develop tactical andstrategic planning, budget management and control of resourcesavailable for the department. Requirements: - Higher education inEngineering, Biological Sciences, Administration, Law,International Relations or related fields; Master''s orspecialization (MBA) in Sustainability, Environmental, Social, andCorporate Governance (ESG), Business Management, climate change orsimilar topics. - Experience in developing and implementingsustainability strategies and programs. - Strong knowledge ofglobal sustainability standards, environmental regulations, and ESGreporting frameworks. - Project Management skills. - Fluent inEnglish; other languages such as Spanish, Italian, French, andMandarin will be an advantage. Soft Skills: - Strong communicationand leadership skills to facilitate integration between a diverseworkforce/culture, and with different stakeholders; - Ability toachieve cross-functional buy-in and influence across anorganization; - Strong ability to connect and lead across multipletopics without losing sight of the big picture and prioritize basedon business needs and resources; - Innovative andsolution-oriented, with the ability to translate vision intoaction.
