Tipperary University Hospital (TippUH), Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, is a Level 111 Acute Hospital. The hospital is part of the HSE Dublin & South East Health Region and is part of integrated health area Carlow, Kilkenny & South Tipperary. TippUH is governed by the Executive Management Team, which is representative of the hospitals clinical and corporate functions to support the delivery of safe, efficient, effective, high-quality patient care.
The person appointed to this post will work within the Acute Healthcare setting as part of multi-disciplinary teams delivering a coordinated approach to patient care. The Emergency Department provides 24/7 emergency care. Admitted patients are also cared for in this department when inpatient capacity has been exceeded.
The Emergency Department is managed operationally and professionally by a CNM3 in conjunction with Emergency Medicine Consultants. There is a strong emphasis on multi-disciplinary teamwork within the department.
The CNMII has a responsibility to assist with the development of nursing staff through in-service training and education utilizing resources such as NIRSP, HSE land, etc.
To provide clinical leadership and quality assurance supports.
