About the Role:

In this role as a color processing expert at eyeo, you''ll be at the forefront of developing and refining cutting-edge color imaging technologies. Your responsibilities will include tasks like creating innovative algorithms to address current challenges, programming and validating ISP blocks and designing new applications for upcoming products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as the color splitter design team to optimize algorithms, the hardware team to optimize new camera components, the industrialization team to develop novel measurement methodologies, and the camera simulation team to prototype your work. Additionally, you will work on camera color characterization, troubleshooting color-related issues, and fine-tuning parameters. We''re looking for a candidate who is proactive, a quick learner, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. You should enjoy collaborating with passionate engineers to build top-tier color imaging features for next-gen products.

Qualifications:

Education: Masters degree in engineering, Computer Vision or a related field.

Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven familiarity with imaging products, color spaces and ISP tuning.
• Previous experience with concepts like color error, ISP pipeline architectures, low loss color conversion, RGB color space, YUV color space.
• Acquaintance with Ambarella, Qualcomm, or other commercial ISPs is a significant bonus.
• Previous experience in consumer type market segments.

Skills:

• Work experience in camera sensor color characterization and color image processing pipelines, including auto white balance, camera color conversion and color management.
• Skilled in ISP algorithm development and capable of independently managing product delivery from problem definition to implementation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar.

Technical Aptitude:

• Familiarity with image sensor technologies, color filters or semiconductor products is highly desirable.
• Ability to understand technical details of camera HW architectures.
• Ability to optimize color processing algorithms to the available ISP pipeline.
