The Role
As Sustainability Manager, you will:
- Define and implement medium to long-term sustainability strategies aligned with legal obligations and company goals
- Lead a team of 15 experts across various sustainability domains
- Oversee projects related to decarbonisation, responsible procurement, waste management, biodiversity, and more
- Collaborate with internal departments to achieve strategic sustainability objectives
- Prepare and publish the annual Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) report
- Engage with key external stakeholders to promote the organisation''s sustainability interests
- Manage environmental audits, permits, and compliance with environmental legislation.
The Ideal Candidate
- Master''s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental and social management in an industrial context is required
- Proven track record in people management
- Strong knowledge of sustainability legislation and management
- Experience in budget management and strategic decision-making
- Fluent in French or Dutch, with a good command of the other language and good English skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to translate global objectives into concrete actions
- Experience in change management and process implementation.
