Mechanical/Engineering Project Manager * County Cork - Field Based Role * Up to €70,000 Basic Salary + Car + Benefits * Mechanical Engineering * Water/Wastewater utilities + industrial customers * Managing installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul servicesRole OverviewOn behalf of our client, we are recruiting an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering projects, drive efficiency, maintain high-quality standards, and foster innovation in processes and service delivery. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimising project workflows, ensuring timely delivery, and implementing best practices to enhance reliability and customer satisfaction.This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions to clients primarily within Ireland’s water and wastewater sectors.Key Responsibilities * Oversee engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines. * Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise processes and ensure seamless project execution. * Drive process improvement initiatives using LEAN methodologies to enhance efficiency and reliability. * Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed. * Maintain strong communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.Key Requirements * Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering (or a related field). * Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a project management role – preferably within the water/wastewater sector. * Proven expertise in LEAN methodologies, process optimisation, and maintenance systems. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively. * Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement and team collaboration
