Expansion and Opportunities As we expand our European Life Sciences business, we are seeking experienced Lead Cost Managers to join us in delivering high-value, complex projects. Job Description We are looking for a Lead Cost Manager to serve as the primary interface with clients, driving projects toward excellent outcomes. You will lead cost management on major Pharma projects, with a solid understanding of pre-contract cost planning, estimating, post-contract commercial management, and client-facing leadership. You will manage teams, handle stakeholder relationships, and ensure project success. Take overall responsibility for estimates and cost planning, including producing and presenting final cost plans. Estimate at conceptual, programming, and detailed levels. Assist in feasibility studies and procurement report writing. Manage procurement processes, including pre-qualification, bid analysis, and contractual documentation. Handle post-contract cost variances and change control, referring major changes to line managers. Conduct cost checks and valuations on large projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Produce and present monthly post-contract cost reports to clients. Contribute to value engineering, negotiate, and approve final accounts. Maintain communication with clients and consultants at all project stages. Provide leadership to the cost management team as needed. Identify opportunities for business development and process improvements. Your Qualifications and Experience Technical expertise in all cost management areas: pre-contract, post-contract, and final accounts. Strong understanding of mechanical, process, electrical, plumbing, civil, structural, and architectural systems related to construction. Experience leading cost management on medium to large, complex construction projects. Advising clients on value management, engineering, and lifecycle costing. Expertise in construction procurement routes and industry technical matters. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years experience in preparing cost estimates. Experience in industries such as commercial, data centers, high-tech, healthcare, manufacturing preferred. RICS or equivalent accreditation, or working towards it.
