This role will be responsible for assisting General Motors monitor and meaningfully impact the development of policies and regulations relevant to the automotive sector in the European Union, in-line with GMs Zero Emissions, Zero Congestion, and Zero Crashes ambitions.
Crucial to this role will be developing contacts across all relevant stakeholders in the EU, with a special focus on key Departments, Industry Associations, and relevant Government officials. Reporting to the Director Government Relations in Zurich (Switzerland), and working with Public Policy colleagues in North America, there will be a key focus on supporting business growth in the EU by ensuring the business is kept up to date and afforded the opportunity to contribute to the development of impactful policies and regulations.
Fundamental to being successful in this position will be assisting to increase awareness of GMs activities and plans in the EU, including our drive to be a leader in meeting the EUs CO2 reduction ambitions, the introduction of cutting-edge automotive technology, and our non-traditional start-up transport company approach.
